Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

 - GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 7.11 before 18.8.7, 18.9 before 18.9.3, and 18.10 before 18.10.1 that could have allowed an unauthenticated user to bypass WebAuthn two- factor authentication and gain unauthorized access to user accounts due to inconsistent input validation in the authentication process. (CVE-2026-2745)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 18.8.7, 18.9.3, 18.10.1 or later.
