Synopsis

The remote host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of IBM InfoSphere Information Server installed on the remote host is 11.7.x prior or equal to 11.7.1.4. It is, therefore, potentially affected by multiple vulnerabilities, including:

- IBM InfoSphere Information Server is vulnerable to cross-site request forgery which could allow an attacker to execute malicious and unauthorized actions transmitted from a user that the website trusts.
(CVE-2023-38268)

- IBM InfoSphere Information Server could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to improper input validation. (CVE-2023-40699)

- IBM InfoSphere Information Server is vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session. (CVE-2023-50303)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade IBM InfoSphere Information Server based upon the guidance specified in the vendor advisory.
