Synopsis

The version of Veeam Backup and Replication installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Veeam Backup and Replication installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 13.0.1.2067. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - A vulnerability allowing an authenticated domain user to perform remote code execution (RCE) on the Backup Server. (CVE-2026-21669)

 - A vulnerability allowing a low-privileged user to extract saved SSH credentials. (CVE-2026-21670)

 - A vulnerability allowing an authenticated user with the Backup Administrator role to perform remote code execution (RCE) in high availability (HA) deployments of Veeam Backup & Replication. (CVE-2026-21671)

 - A vulnerability allowing local privilege escalation on Windows-based Veeam Backup & Replication servers.
 (CVE-2026-21672)

 - A vulnerability allowing a Backup Viewer to perform remote code execution (RCE) as the postgres user.
 (CVE-2026-21708)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Veeam Backup and Replication version 13.0.1.2067 or later.
