Synopsis

The remote host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of IBM InfoSphere Information Server installed on the remote host is 11.7.x prior or equal to 11.7.1.4. It is, therefore, potentially affected by an information disclosure vulnerability:

 - IBM InfoSphere Information Server could allow a remote attacker to obtain system information using a specially crafted query that could aid in further attacks against the system.


Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade IBM InfoSphere Information Server based upon the guidance specified in the vendor advisory.
