Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote macOS host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 146.0.7680.80. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 2026_03_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_13 advisory.

 - Out of bounds write in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 146.0.7680.75 allowed a remote attacker to perform out of bounds memory access via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2026-3909)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 146.0.7680.80 or later.
