Synopsis

The remote Windows host contains an application that is affected by a local privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

The remote Windows host is running a version of Microsoft Windows Admin Center that is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by a local privilege escalation vulnerability. Improper authentication in Windows Admin Center allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. (CVE-2026-26119)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate update referenced in the Microsoft advisory.
