Synopsis

The Adobe Illustrator instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Illustrator installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 29.8.5, 30.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB26-18 advisory.

 - Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2026-21362, CVE-2026-27272)

 - Untrusted Search Path (CWE-426) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2026-21333)

 - Heap-based Buffer Overflow (CWE-122) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2026-27271)

 - Stack-based Buffer Overflow (CWE-121) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2026-27267)

 - Out-of-bounds Read (CWE-125) potentially leading to Memory exposure (CVE-2026-27268)

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Illustrator version 29.8.5, 30.2 or later.
