EulerOS 2.0 SP13 : sssd (EulerOS-SA-2026-1262)

high Nessus Plugin ID 301614

Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the sssd packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

A flaw was found in the integration of Active Directory and the System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) on Linux systems. In default configurations, the Kerberos local authentication plugin (sssd_krb5_localauth_plugin) is enabled, but a fallback to the an2ln plugin is possible. This fallback allows an attacker with permission to modify certain AD attributes (such as userPrincipalName or samAccountName) to impersonate privileged users, potentially resulting in unauthorized access or privilege escalation on domain-joined Linux hosts.(CVE-2025-11561)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS sssd security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected sssd packages.
