Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the dhcp package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 Under certain circumstances, BIND is too lenient when accepting records from answers, allowing an attacker to inject forged data into the cache.(CVE-2025-40778)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS dhcp security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected dhcp packages.
