Unity Linux 20.1070e Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2026-005467)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 300356

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-005467 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

wifi: ath9k: don't allow to overwrite ENDPOINT0 attributes

A bad USB device is able to construct a service connection response message with target endpoint being ENDPOINT0 which is reserved for HTC_CTRL_RSVD_SVC and should not be modified to be used for any other services.

Reject such service connection responses.

Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
