Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Ivanti Desktop and Server Management (DSM) installed on the remote host is prior to 2024.3.5740. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-7572 advisory.

 - Insufficient permissions in Ivanti DSM before version 2024.3.5740 allows a local authenticated attacker to delete arbitrary files.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Ivanti DSM version 2024.3.5740 or later.
