Synopsis

The remote Brocade FabricOS host is affected by a local privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

The version of Brocade FabricOS installed on the remote host is prior to 9.2.1c3, or 9.2.2 prior to 9.2.2c. It is, therefore, affected by a local privilege escalation vulnerability:

 - A vulnerability in Brocade Fabric OS could allow elevating the privileges of the local authenticated user to root using the export option of seccertmgmt and seccryptocfg commands. (CVE-2025-9711)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Brocade FabricOS 9.2.1c3 / 9.2.2c or later.
