Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Confluence host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Confluence Server running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CONFSERVER-102186 advisory.

- Versions of the package ua-parser-js from 0.7.30 and before 0.7.33, from 0.8.1 and before 1.0.33 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the trim() function. (CVE-2022-25927)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 9.2.14, 9.2.15, 10.2.3, 10.2.6 or later.
