Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote macOS host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 144.0.7559.177. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 2026_02_extended-stable-updates-for-desktop_13 advisory.

 - Use after free in CSS in Google Chrome prior to 145.0.7632.75 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2026-2441)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 144.0.7559.177 or later.
