Synopsis

The remote host has an application installed that is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Apple Pages installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 15.1. It is, therefore, affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability:

 - An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved input validation. Processing a maliciously crafted Pages document may result in unexpected termination or disclosure of process memory. (CVE-2025-46316)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Apple Pages version 15.1 or later.
