Synopsis

The n8n Node.js Package installed on the remote host is affected by a credential exfiltration vulnerability.

Description

The version of the n8n Node.js Package installed on the remote host is prior to 1.121.0. It is, therefore, affected by a credential exfiltration vulnerability:

 - A vulnerability in the HTTP Request node's credential domain validation allows an authenticated attacker to send requests with credentials to unintended domains, potentially leading to credential exfiltration. This only might affect users who have credentials that use wildcard domain patterns (e.g., *.example.com) in the 'Allowed domains' setting. (CVE-2026-25631)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to n8n Node.js Package version 1.121.0 or later.
