Synopsis

The remote host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Adobe Substance 3D Stager installed on the remote host is prior to 3.1.7. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB26-20 advisory.

 - Substance3D - Stager versions 3.1.6 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2026-21341, CVE-2026-21341)

 - Substance3D - Stager versions 3.1.6 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability when parsing a crafted file, which could result in a read past the end of an allocated memory structure. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2026-21343, CVE-2026-21344, CVE-2026-21345)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Substance 3D Stager version 3.1.7 or later.
