Synopsis

Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

 - A vulnerability has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting with 16.8 before 18.5.0 that could have allowed unauthorized edits to merge request approval rules under certain conditions. (CVE-2026-1751)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 18.5.0 or later.
