Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the JSDSERVER-16410 advisory.

 - In Jakarta Mail 2.0.2 it is possible to preform a SMTP Injection by utilizing the \r and \n UTF-8 characters to separate different messages. (CVE-2025-7962)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server version 5.12.27, 10.3.10, 11.0.0 or later.
