Unity Linux 20.1050e Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2026-005055)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 296855

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-005055 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

can: dev: can_put_echo_skb(): don't crash kernel if can_priv::echo_skb is accessed out of bounds

If the struct can_priv::echoo_skb is accessed out of bounds, this would cause a kernel crash. Instead, issue a meaningful warning message and return with an error.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
