Synopsis

The remote Azure Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of kernel installed on the remote Azure Linux 3.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2025-22041 advisory.

 - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix use-after-free in ksmbd_sessions_deregister() In multichannel mode, UAF issue can occur in session_deregister when the second channel sets up a session through the connection of the first channel. session that is freed through the global session table can be accessed again through ->sessions of connection. (CVE-2025-22041)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
