Synopsis

The remote Azure Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of kernel installed on the remote Azure Linux 3.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2025-21967 advisory.

 - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix use-after-free in ksmbd_free_work_struct ->interim_entry of ksmbd_work could be deleted after oplock is freed. We don't need to manage it with linked list. The interim request could be immediately sent whenever a oplock break wait is needed. (CVE-2025-21967)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
