Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2013-314:01 advisory.

 xorg-x11-apps A collection of common X Window System applications.
 xorg-x11-server-utils A collection of utilities used to tweak and query the runtime configuration of the X server.
 xorg-x11-utils A collection of client utilities which can be used to query the X server for various information.
 Security issues fixed with this release:
 CVE-2011-2504 Untrusted search path vulnerability in x11perfcomp in XFree86 x11perf before 1.5.4 allows local users to gain privileges via unspecified Trojan horse code in the current working directory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected xorg-x11-server-utils and / or xorg-x11-utils packages.
