The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXBA:2017-1813:01 advisory.

 - The signal handler implementations in socat before 1.7.3.0 and 2.0.0-b8 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process freeze or crash). (CVE-2015-1379)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected socat package.
