Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 3 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXBA:2008-372:02 advisory.

 - Algorithmic complexity vulnerability in the MCS translation daemon in mcstrans 0.2.3 allows local users to cause a denial of service (temporary daemon outage) via a large range of compartments in sensitivity labels. (CVE-2007-4570)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected mcstrans package.
