Description

The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2018-2581:01 advisory.

 * gcab: Extracting malformed .cab files causes stack smashing potentially leading to arbitrary code execution (CVE-2018-5345)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libgcab1 and / or libgcab1-devel packages.
