Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2014-026:01 advisory.

 389 Directory Server is an LDAPv3 compliant server. The base package includes the LDAP server and command line utilities for server administration.
 Security issues fixed with this release:
 CVE-2013-4485 389 Directory Server 1.2.11.15 (aka Red Hat Directory Server before 8.2.11-14) allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (crash) via multiple @ characters in a GER attribute list in a search request.
 Fixed bugs:
 When used as part of the Identity Management system, the 389 Directory Server coud enter a deadlock. This has been fixed.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected 389-ds-base and / or 389-ds-base-libs packages.
