MiracleLinux 4 : qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.448.AXS4.2 (AXSA:2015-125:01)

high Nessus Plugin ID 289787

Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2015-125:01 advisory.

KVM (for Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a full virtualization solution for Linux on x86 hardware.
Using KVM, one can run multiple virtual machines running unmodified Linux or Windows images. Each virtual machine has private virtualized hardware:
a network card, disk, graphics adapter, etc.
Fixed bugs:
* Previously, the effective downtime during the last phase of a live migration would sometimes be much higher than the maximum downtime specified by 'migration_downtime' in vdsm.conf. With this update, fixed it.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
