The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2015-501:01 advisory.

 OpenLDAP is an open source suite of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) applications and development tools. LDAP is a set of protocols for accessing directory services (usually phone book style information, but other information is possible) over the Internet, similar to the way DNS (Domain Name System) information is propagated over the Internet. The openldap package contains configuration files, libraries, and documentation for OpenLDAP.
 Security issues fixed with this release:
 CVE-2015-6908 The ber_get_next function in libraries/liblber/io.c in OpenLDAP 2.4.42 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (reachable assertion and application crash) via crafted BER data, as demonstrated by an attack against slapd.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
