The remote MiracleLinux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the AXSA:2015-746:01 advisory.

Contains backends, filters, and other software that was once part of the core CUPS distribution but is no longer maintained by Apple Inc. In addition it contains additional filters developed independently of Apple, especially filters for the PDF-centric printing workflow introduced by OpenPrinting.
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2015-3258 Heap-based buffer overflow in the WriteProlog function in filter/texttopdf.c in texttopdf in cups-filters before 1.0.70 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a small line size in a print job.
CVE-2015-3279 Integer overflow in filter/texttopdf.c in texttopdf in cups-filters before 1.0.71 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted line size in a print job, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
Fixed bugs:
* Previously, when polling CUPS printers from a CUPS server, when a printer name contained an underscore (_), the client displayed the name containing a hyphen (-) instead. This made the print queue unavailable.
With this update, CUPS allows the underscore character in printer names, and printers appear as shown on the CUPS server as expected.
Enhancements:
* Now, the information from local and remote CUPS servers is cached during each poll, and the CUPS server load is reduced.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected cups-filters and / or cups-filters-libs packages.
