MiracleLinux 4 : ipa-3.0.0-26.2.0.1.AXS4 (AXSA:2013-421:02)

high Nessus Plugin ID 289015

Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2013-421:02 advisory.

IPA is an integrated solution to provide centrally managed Identity (machine, user, virtual machines, groups, authentication credentials), Policy (configuration settings, access control information) and Audit (events, logs, analysis thereof).
Security issues fixed with this release:
CVE-2012-4546 The default configuration for IPA servers in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, when revoking a certificate from an Identity Management replica, does not properly update another Identity Management replica, which causes inconsistent Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) to be used and might allow remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via a revoked certificate.
Fixed bugs:
Previously, during migration, users were added one by one to the default users group for each user added.
To improve performance, they are now added in batches of 100.
Previously, migration failed if the LDAP schema from the remote server was not available. Now the Identity Management also checks in in cn=subschema and migrations from OpenLDAP servers are successful.
Previously, the Identity Management client failed to fall over to replica if the master server was down.
Some checks have been added and it now works.
Added the missing objectClass and attributeType to the Identity Management update files so that both the CLI and Web UI function properly after an upgrade.
Fixed the Kerberos client configuration file (/etc/krb5.conf) when it contained an includedir directive. It made the Identity Management servers crash with a syntax error.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
