The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2015-341:01 advisory.

 wpa_supplicant is a WPA Supplicant for Linux, BSD and Windows with support for WPA and WPA2 (IEEE 802.11i / RSN). Supplicant is the IEEE 802.1X/WPA component that is used in the client stations. It implements key negotiation with a WPA Authenticator and it controls the roaming and IEEE 802.11 authentication/association of the wlan driver.
 Security issues fixed with this release:
 CVE-2015-4142 Enhancements:
 * Prior to this update, wpa_supplicant did not provide a way to require the host name to be listed in an X.509 certificate's Common Name or Subject Alternative Name, and only allowed host name suffix or subject substring checks. This update introduces a new configuration directive, 'domain_match', which adds a full host name check.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected wpa_supplicant package.
