Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Kibana installed on the remote host is prior to 8.19.10, 9.1.10, or 9.2.4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ESA_2026_03 advisory.

 - An allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability in Kibana Fleet leads to excessive resource allocation via a specially crafted request. This causes the application to perform redundant processing operations that continuously consume system resources until service degradation or complete unavailability occurs. This affects Kibana versions 7.10.0 to 7.17.29, 8.0.0 to 8.19.9, 9.0.0 to 9.1.9, and 9.2.0 to 9.2.3. (CVE-2026-0530)

Solution

Update to Kibana version 8.19.10, 9.1.10, 9.2.4 or later.
