Fortinet FortiSIEM Unauthenticated Remote Command Injection (FG-IR-25-772)

Synopsis

A web application running on the remote server is affected by a command injection vulnerability.

Description

The version of Fortinet FortiSIEM running on the remote server is 6.7.x through 6.7.10, 7.0.x through 7.0.4, 7.1.x prior to 7.1.9, 7.2.x prior to 7.2.7, 7.3.x prior to 7.3.5, or 7.4.0. It is, therefore, affected by an unauthenticated remote command injection vulnerability:

 - An improper neutralization of special elements used in an os command ('os command injection') vulnerability in Fortinet FortiSIEM 7.4.0, FortiSIEM 7.3.0 through 7.3.4, FortiSIEM 7.1.0 through 7.1.8, FortiSIEM 7.0.0 through 7.0.4, FortiSIEM 6.7.0 through 6.7.10 may allow an attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via crafted TCP requests. (CVE-2025-64155)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Fortinet FortiSIEM version 7.1.9, 7.2.7, 7.3.5, or 7.4.1 or later.
