Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2011-735:01 advisory.

 system-config-firewall is a graphical user interface for basic firewall setup.
 system-config-printer is a graphical user interface that allows the user to configure a CUPS print server.
 Security issues fixed with this release:
 CVE-2011-2520 fw_dbus.py in system-config-firewall 1.2.29 and earlier uses the pickle Python module unsafely during D-Bus communication between the GUI and the backend, which might allow local users to gain privileges via a crafted serialized object.
 Fixed Bugs:
 - Remote virtual machine management with and without TLS encryption used the same port. They now both have separate ports.
 - Fixed the Tamil, the Hindi and the Punjabi translations.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
