The remote MiracleLinux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 3 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the AXSA:2009-18:01 advisory.

 Dovecot is an IMAP server for Linux/UNIX-like systems, written with security primarily in mind. It also contains a small POP3 server. It supports mail in either of maildir or mbox formats.
 Fixed bugs:
 CVE-2008-4577 The ACL plugin in Dovecot before 1.1.4 treats negative access rights as if they are positive access rights, which allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions.
 CVE-2008-4870 dovecot 1.0.7 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, and possibly Fedora, uses world-readable permissions for dovecot.conf, which allows local users to obtain the ssl_key_password parameter value.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected dovecot package.
