Synopsis

Adobe Bridge installed on remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of Adobe Bridge installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 15.1.3 or 16.0.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the apsb26-07 advisory.

- Bridge versions 15.1.2, 16.0 and earlier are affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2026-21283)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Bridge version 15.1.3 or 16.0.1 or later.
