Synopsis

The Microsoft Word Products are affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The Microsoft Word Products are missing a security update. They are, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this to bypass authentication and execute unauthorized arbitrary commands. (CVE-2026-20948)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Microsoft has released KB5002829 to address this issue.
