The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2025-9699:03 advisory.

 PostgreSQL is an advanced Object-Relational database management system (DBMS).
 The base postgresql package contains the client programs that you'll need to access a PostgreSQL DBMS server, as well as HTML documentation for the whole system. These client programs can be located on the same machine as the PostgreSQL server, or on a remote machine that accesses a PostgreSQL server over a network connection. The PostgreSQL server can be found in the postgresql-server sub-package.
 Security fix(es):
 - CVE-2024-7348: Fix TOCTOU race condition in pg_dump CVE(s):
 CVE-2024-7348 Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in pg_dump in PostgreSQL allows an object creator to execute arbitrary SQL functions as the user running pg_dump, which is often a superuser. The attack involves replacing another relation type with a view or foreign table. The attack requires waiting for pg_dump to start, but winning the race condition is trivial if the attacker retains an open transaction.
 Versions before PostgreSQL 16.4, 15.8, 14.13, 13.16, and 12.20 are affected.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
