Synopsis

The remote MiracleLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote MiracleLinux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the AXSA:2025-10951:03 advisory.

* CVE-2025-7345: fix heap buffer overflow during base64 encoding in gdk_pixbuf__jpeg_image_load_increment() CVE(s):
CVE-2025-7345 A flaw exists in gdkpixbuf within the gdk_pixbuf__jpeg_image_load_increment function (io-jpeg.c) and in glibs g_base64_encode_step (glib/gbase64.c). When processing maliciously crafted JPEG images, a heap buffer overflow can occur during Base64 encoding, allowing out-of-bounds reads from heap memory, potentially causing application crashes or arbitrary code execution.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the MiracleLinux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected gdk-pixbuf2 and / or gdk-pixbuf2-devel packages.
