The remote Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the JSDSERVER-16469 advisory.

 - A vulnerability was found in the minimatch package. This flaw allows a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) when calling the braceExpand function with specific arguments, resulting in a Denial of Service. (CVE-2022-3517)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server version 10.3.14 or later.
