A security management application is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

The Trend Micro Apex Central running on the remote host is affected by an improper input validation vulnerability. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a specially crafted message, to load an attacker-controlled DLL into MsgReceiver.exe, resulting in remote code execution.

Solution

Update to Apex Central build 7190 or later.
