Synopsis

The version of Veeam Backup and Replication installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Veeam Backup and Replication installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 13.0.1.1071. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - This vulnerability allows a Backup or Tape Operator to perform remote code execution (RCE) as root by creating a malicious backup configuration file. (CVE-2025-55125)

 - This vulnerability allows a Backup Administrator to perform remote code execution (RCE) as the postgres user by sending a malicious password parameter. (CVE-2025-59468)

 - This vulnerability allows a Backup or Tape Operator to perform remote code execution (RCE) as the postgres user by sending a malicious interval or order parameter. (CVE-2025-59470)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Veeam Backup and Replication version 13.0.1.1071 or later.
