Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of JetBrains Rider installed on the remote host is prior to 2025.2.5. It is, therefore, affected by a local privilege escalation vulnerability:

 - In JetBrains ReSharper, Rider and dotTrace before 2025.2.5 local privilege escalation was possible via race condition. (CVE-2025-64457)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to JetBrains Rider version 2025.2.5 or later.
