Synopsis

Mattermost Desktop running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Mattermost Desktop installed on the remote host is prior to 6.0.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the MMSA-2025-00504 advisory:

 - Mattermost Desktop App versions <6.0.0 fail to enable the Hardened Runtime on the Mattermost Desktop App when packaged for Mac App Store which allows an attacker to inherit TCC permissions via copying the binary to a tmp folder. (CVE-2025-13326)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mattermost Desktop 6.0.0 or later.
