Unity Linux 20.1060e / 20.1070e Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2025-992545)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 280398

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2025-992545 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

drm/meson: Fix refcount bugs in meson_vpu_has_available_connectors()

In this function, there are two refcount leak bugs:
(1) when breaking out of for_each_endpoint_of_node(), we need call the of_node_put() for the 'ep';
(2) we should call of_node_put() for the reference returned by of_graph_get_remote_port() when it is not used anymore.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
