A mail client installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Thunderbird ESR installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 17.0.7. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2013-54 advisory.

 - Do not send data XHR HEAD request(CVE-2013-1692) (CVE-2013-1692)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Thunderbird ESR version 17.0.7 or later.
