Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Firefox installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 32.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2014-69 advisory.

- Apparent info leak caused by uninitialized memory with malformed GIFs(CVE-2014-1564) (CVE-2014-1564)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox version 32.0 or later.
