Description

The version of Firefox installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 34.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2014-90 advisory.

- jemalloc poisoning plus Apple uninitialized variable usage triggers keylogging in /tmp/ on OSX 10.10(CVE-2014-1595) (CVE-2014-1595)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox version 34.0 or later.
