Description

The version of Microsoft Office for Mac installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the december-16-2025 advisory.

 - Use after free in Microsoft Office allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
 (CVE-2025-62557)

 - Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
 (CVE-2025-62564)

 - Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally. (CVE-2025-62556, CVE-2025-62560, CVE-2025-62561)

 - Use after free in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
 (CVE-2025-62563)

 - Use after free in Microsoft Office Outlook allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
 (CVE-2025-62562)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Office for Mac version 16.104 or later.
